About Our Farm

Professional Local Farm

We are a local family farm that is joining in with the movement of small acreage bio-intensive farmers.  We will be growing over 20 varieties of vegetables for our first year and will continue to add other ones including some fruit along the way.  We will be utilizing organic growing methods in order to supply our customers with the safest and best produce.  Hope to see you at the market.

The Beginning
2022 is officially our first year in business.  But growing has been in our blood for a long time.  Dad's first 20 years after college were working in the horticulture industry and Jonathan has followed suit in his career.  The family involved in the business right now is a father and son and their wives who will be running the business with a long range plan of others coming along down the line to also be a part of it.  Unofficially this business has been in the works for a while as it has been a dream for a number of years.  Family members have been learning best practices along the way and applying them in the places where they are at.  When Jon and Brittany moved up to Plainwell, MI in 2020 the dream started to become more of a reality.  Last year Jon did a test plot of 4 - 50' beds on their property planting a variety of different crops.  Those beds are now part of what will be 30 beds this year and who knows down the line.

Our Mission

Production by the masses instead of mass production

Our mission is to provide healthy and great tasting food for the community we live in.  Also we want to be part of bringing back more self-subsistence methods to families for every day living through the process of growing from a small acreage farm.  Another great benefit that we will be employing in this process is eliminating the need for chemical fertilizers and other chemicals to not only heal the land but utilize what is there in a way that the soil/land become a richer resource.
